West Sussex, UK- August 8th, 2017 – British Gentlemen’s Outfitters Peter Christian have enlisted the recently-retired Test Match Special commentator and Bon –Viveur Henry Blofeld for a series of fun sartorial video guides, the first of which – focussing on the Panama hat – was premiered on the Peter Christian website this week.

The colourful series, ‘Ask Blowers’, will be tackling important topics such as how to put on a bow tie, the correct headwear to accompany a visit to Lord’s cricket ground and how to dress appropriately when meeting royalty, with the odd cameo from giant pigeons, mysterious hand models and members of the Peter Christian team.
Known for his rich, old Etonian tones, hilarious mid-play observations (“A moving crane, a yellow helicopter, what more has the day got to offer?”) and eccentric dress sense, Blowers (as he’s affectionately known by his fans) is clearly in his element in this first highly-entertaining video.
“Well I have more time on my hands now for things I enjoy, and I love putting an outfit together, so the opportunity suited me well!” quipped Mr. Blofeld, when asked why he has chosen to make the leap from commentator to ‘style counsel’.
“I just hope people have half as much fun watching them as we had making them,” he added.
Nick Alderton (aka Lord Trousers), Managing Director of Peter Christian explained why they were keen to collaborate with Mr. Blofeld, who retired with 50 years of sporting commentary under his (colourful) belt:
“Being avid cricket fans we’ve been trying to find a way to work with Henry for quite a while now,” he said. “And we believe these videos manage to capture Henry’s life-loving spirit – and that of our brand – fantastically.’
“No-one embodies our motto (“Don’t blend in, stand out.”) more than Blowers,” he added. “So we’re delighted to be working with him.”
Peter Christian is an online clothing and accessories retailer, specialising in classic British gentlemen’s clothing.
