Growing up in Brooklyn, USA, she experienced American culture firsthand before moving to Finland following the passing of her father, an event that added a profound layer of personal experience with loss and cultural transition to her artistic sensibilities.
Beyond her musical endeavors, Tii Ricks possesses a strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and character development honed through her studies in Film. An experienced Film Director and Editor with multiple awards for television programs, short films, documentaries, and music videos, she also directed the internationally released feature film "Better Than Andy" (2009) and the horror feature film "Rage: Midsummer's Eve" (2015), garnering genre-specific press coverage.
