“Men of Literature” – A Pre-Father’s Day Event Honoring Male Authors and Inspiring Young Readers
Michigan, US. June 6th 2025 - This Saturday, June 7, the Men of Literature Expo returns to Detroit, Michigan, for a powerful pre-Father’s Day celebration highlighting storytelling, fatherhood, and the lasting impact of literacy. The event begins at 4 p.m. at the Northwest Activities Center, 18100 Meyers Rd.
The Men of Literature Expo is more than a book event — it’s a cultural experience that brings together male authors, community leaders, and families to honor the art of writing, the importance of legacy, and the role fathers and mentors play in shaping young minds. Guests can look forward to live book readings, author panels, meet-and-greets, and meaningful dialogue centered around literature and the power of male voices in storytelling.
This year’s event is hosted by Jabril Muhammad, a Detroit native, published author, and passionate literacy advocate. Muhammad is the author of "My Future is Bright Because," and he has dedicated his career to helping youth and underserved communities discover their voice through writing. Known for his deep commitment to uplifting others, Jabril works to create safe, inspiring platforms where writers can share their stories, build confidence, and connect with audiences that need their message.
“The Men of Literature Expo is not just about books,” Jabril Muhammad said. “It’s about identity, legacy, and empowering people to tell their stories — especially men whose voices are often overlooked in literary spaces.”
Tickets are available online at www.liveinthed.tv. Pre-sale tickets are $7, and tickets at the door are $10. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family and shop for meaningful Father’s Day gifts while supporting local authors and entrepreneurs.
Join in celebrating the power of words, wisdom, and the men who help shape our future — one story at a time.
